Help stop a housing development next to a SSSI meadow in Hereford

Stop the lunacy of building on this beautiful land

Inappropriate site nest to protected landscape and ecosystems.

Yes, we need new houses, but not on this site.

Plenty of brownfield sites in Herefordshire could be used for affordable housing which is what the County needs.

we must save "the meadows"

Loss of meadow would be a disgrace, we must stand up to this threat.

i dont live in hereford but im against all the houses been built all over the place it gets turned down

This cannot happen, the meadow is a wildlife and wildflower haven, this has to be stopped

Where is the overriding necessity to build here? This site has national significance and the risk to the meadow from contaminated flood water is not one worth taking. Please build on brownfield or less sensitive sites.

after seeing the news report I feel that this proposed development would seriously damage the Sssi area. I cannot accept the reassurance that as it would be 20 metres away it would not have an effect. Although I don't live in the area I often visit Herefordshire and feel strongly that we need to protect these special sites of ecological importance.

I wholeheartedly support the HCC to reject this proposal and any appeal by Bovis must be rejected. It is contrary to specific provisions and the general intent of the NPPF. It is not development to create a change for the better and is against the interests of future generations to deprive them of the facilities that this mediaeval meadow affords to the local community. Building on a flood plane is also contrary to the NPPF and s79 specifically gives protection to greenfield sites if other more suitable site are available. Brownfield site around Hereford are still available which would be better used for such purposes, and could be a positive contribution to a sustainable development. But this development is not contray to the best interests of the overall plan fir the future of Hereford and its surrounding country and against them not rests of future generations and must not be allowed.

Plenty of alternative sites. Build taller flats. Be economic, don't destroy wildlife when we don't need to!

Once they're goen, they're gone. You never hear of an application to demolish houses and replant meadows.
