As long as they are not a hate group espousing hatred and violence, they belong a part of this historical re-enactment.

Selective history isn't historic. It paints a distorted picture. You can't be offended by something that you did not experience, and act as if it shouldn't be present in teachings. When the reality is, those who did survive those grim days live on today to tell of the treachery. Why target a specific historic branch in German Polotics when many other points in history paint just as terrible a picture as Nazis. Such as the genocide of the Natives of the Americas?

Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right. Failure to recognize the historical evil eliminates the basis for historical good.

We need german reenactors, to portray the other half. It's educational to see and learn about the soliders of the time period.

All aspects of history should be represented. German soldiers were a huge part of World War II.

You can not rewrite or erase history. History is taught so that the mistakes of the past are not repeated.

If you're going to try to portray history, you need to include all of it, not just the attractive parts.

Please allow our history to be taught as it has been at the River of Time. Please allow the Germans to continue to come for representing the opposing side in WWII. We do not support Nazism, but rather want to educate the public on what happened in history so that we can avoid repeating all those horrible acts. The ugly parts of history need to be taught asking with the pretty ones. Thank you for your consideration. #historynothate #dontcensorhistory

The Kreigsfahn is a battle flag, just as any another country had their battle flags. If you take note, the Rebel flag has been allowed for 27 years at this event and there will not be any changes in allowing it to be present, so why should we bend to one voice that disagrees with actual part of History. You cant erase it, but you can learn from it. Which is,exactly what reenacting is all about. The good, the bad and the ugly. They are not " skin heads" and the Jews need to settle their voice already after 70 plus years, along with taking a look at their own negative implications in History too.

Let's not turn this into a liberal v conservative thing. I'm extremely liberal, and I completely agree that history needs to be taught and preserved.

History needs to be taught, not forgotten. History is dirty and ugly, but the more we understand it the better chance we have of not allowing the same or similar acts to happen again.
