As the parent of current kindergarten student at Carlisle Elementary it has been brought to my attention that parents are not allowed to attend the graduation ceremony for Kindergartners this year “due to Covid restrictions.” This is getting out of hand folks. How long are we going to accept these restrictions? Our children deserve to have their families there for their big moment. After all of the changes they’ve had to endure their first official year of school they should at least be able to see us physically there supporting their accomplishments. If our school allows us to pack the High School gym for a wrestling match this past winter and almost fill the auditorium for the play Anastasia then why not allow 2 persons per Kindergarten student to attend their graduation? There is more than enough room in the new auditorium to be able to “socially distance” and be present for the small ceremony.
