Parents, now is time to take a stand for our children! A great number of us have expressed our concerns with the current mask mandate in our own Kershaw County schools. We must always be outspoken about our children’s overall health & wellbeing, but especially now! Now is the time to get involved! This petition is open for any parent, teacher or taxpaying citizen in Kershaw County who feel masking should be a parent’s choice! I encourage all parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles of a child in Kershaw County School District to sign and share with every parent you know! We will present this petition at the school board’s next meeting on May 18th. We encourage you to sign whether or not you are able to attend the board meeting. With limited seating and social distance, they will eventually limit how many of us can attend. This is a chance for every parent to have their voice heard! The days feel long and the board is still not budging. We need to reach one hundred signatures before the next meeting so they cannot ignore us. Please send this to someone new today because we are exhausted but we are not stopping yet.

End mask mandates now. My son has autism, has missed a year of school because he does not understand he has to wear one. If you want to wear it, wear it. Let the rest of us Live.
This should be left up to the parents . The mask are taking off for meals without being 6 feet apart . So why punish the children the remainder of the day wearing a mask when they have been exposed . Also fabric and surgical mask do not prevent the spread of covid . Please use logical thinking and remove the mask from schools .
My son is homeschooled because it was dangerous for him to go to school and then go to my parents house. My dad has bad health issues and it wouldn't be safe to my father or child. On top of that he has ADHD.He would loose focus on the important stuff and be focused on that mask.
With vaccines readily available for all KCSD staff, this should now be a parent’s choice! Our Governor and State Representatives agree! Our State Representatives are fighting with us but we have to do our part as parents! Thanks!
The parents should make the choice of there child wearing a mask or not. My child has asthma & it's hard for her to wear the mask all day at school & on the bus.
My husband has cancer and our children need to wear masks to keep him from getting sicker.
Parents! Rise up and take over your feckless school boards if the board is not listening to you. The masks are a form of control and child abuse. STOP THIS IMMEDIATELY

With everyone given the opportunity to be vaccinated, masks should be optional. If you’ve been immunized, you should not worry about anyone spreading anything to you. My children’s health with breathing in bacteria from masks is more important and has more consequences than a 99% recoverable virus!
