HDB has all along ban people from owning cats in their HDB with the dumbest reasons and excuses provided. Are they even valid? 80% of Singaporeans lives in HDBs, in other words, banning of people owning stray cats resulting to more cats on the streets, getting culled by AVA, despised by people and getting regarded as pests etc. Cats are lovely animals and makes wonderful pets. Regarding to HDB's dumb excuses, why do they allow some dog breeds then? As a dog owner myself, I have experienced my dog howling and barking, pissing and marking its territory everywhere, whining for the smallest reasons. While on the other hand, cats are quiet as long as they are sterilised, do not piss as and when they want and even so, they bury their pee and poo. Yes, they do fight and yowl for this one moment, but thats because Singapore is filled with stray cats and their territory are marked, yet everyday people dump their cats on the street. Making Singaporeans think badly of cats isn't a way because there will still be awesome cat lovers out there. So basically where's that acceptable excuse, HDB? This petition is solely to stop HDB for being so biased, and we want them to reconsider after many requests for so many years. We want cats tp go to good homes, and not getting culled when their all innocent. Indeed, these stray cats are dumped by irresponsible pet owners, I'm not saying there isn't any for dogs. but wouldn't people be saving lives if theu could just adopt them off the streets? If only HDB allow, Please havd some sympathy.
