We respectfully ask that you reconsider your recent decision as it significantly alters expectations set during Annabelle’s high school experience. Changing policies or rules midstream, whether in writing or not, especially when they directly affect a student’s current path undermines fairness and consistency. Had CCA provided a softball team, the circumstances might be different. But in its absence, the current decision creates an undue impact on her. We are deeply disappointed in this outcome and urge the board to reverse the decision in the interest of fairness and continuity. In sports the rules do change, from time to time, but never in the middle of the game. This is clearly a case where she should be grandfathered until her graduation. Respectfully David Wright

Let her play. The people on the board clearly made the wrong decision, and they should be ashamed of themselves.

All kids deserve to play baseball if they’d like. The boards decision to not allow a female to play a male sport is archaic and uneducated. Baseball and Softball are two different sports.

I’ve watched her competitions before, and she did very well.” On the other hand I think everyone has the right to pursue what they love.

This board needs to revoke this decision and whomever is really behind this decision motives need to be investigated. It would be different if there were they had a large team but they barely have enough to field a team and she is one of their top players.

Annabelle = Baseball! Let AB play! Maggie Foxx played baseball for the Bedford Bulldogs all 4 years of high school; she graduated last year.

Annabelle Syvertson deserves the right to continue playing the sport she loves. She has been a committed member of the CCA baseball team for years, and preventing her from playing now is both unfair and harmful to her future opportunities. Talent, dedication, and teamwork should be what matters—not gender. Please allow Annabelle to play baseball for CCA.
