By not allowing this female student athlete to participate in a sport that has no like sport in your program you are in violation of Title 9. She will have every right to and will win a lawsuit against this school district. Current and future damages will be awarded.

I played high school, college, and professional baseball and to not allow somebody with the skills to play a sport at any level is beyond hypocrisy. We as parents teach our children to find their passion and chase their dreams. This young woman has taken the time to become skilled enough to be on the varsity baseball team! Let her play! This is the sort of inclusion we as Americans stand behind! This is not a man competing in women’s sports, this is much tougher to achieve and she should not only be given the opportunity, but be admired for her dedication and achieved abilities! Well done young lady! This school board should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves!

She should be allowed to play. She is a gifted athlete and can more than compete on the baseball team.

No one is being kept off the team because of her playing. She is not pretending to be a boy. She is not out to hurt anyone.

There are no good reasons to prevent her from playing. It does not open a door for boys to compete in girls sports. It just continues an opportunity afforded to her for three years now. This decision by the board should have had a clause allowing current participants without an outlet in other CCA sports to continue through graduation. It should have been implemented for the upcoming freshman class, not across all classes.

Title IX gives Annabelle the right to play baseball. If she’s good enough to make the team, let her play!

This is disgusting that they are scared of letting a female play and compete at a higher level. Way to keep the stereotype that a female can't compete.
