We have been made aware that the CCA Board has made the decision to prohibit Annabelle Syvertson from playing baseball for CCA. She plays on the only baseball/softball team offered by CCA. A team she has played on for years. This decision by the CCA Board is also preventing her from playing the sport she loves. In addition, it may even hurt her chances of playing softball at the collegiate level. We fully support Annabelle playing baseball for CCA for the remainder of her high school career. We strongly urge the CCA Board to reconsider its decision.

As a father of a girl who played baseball through high school (and still plays, though she is playing softball in college), I can't believe we are having this conversation anymore. Particularly when there's no equivalent sport. Baseball and softball are as similar as tennis and racquetball. Let her play!
As a former female student athlete at a Christian school and mom of 2 athletes… AB is a role model I would love to have for my daughter, an aspiring soccer player! LET HER PLAY!
My daughter played on the boys baseball team at our HS for years. She's injured this year so she chose to play softball until surgery can fix the issue. To this day she'd still rather be playing baseball. She was a sensational pitcher at that and could hit like the best of them! You go girl and fight for what your want!!
As a previous baseball player at CCA I believe Annabelle should have the opportunity to play baseball at CCA. She has played her whole life with guys on baseball teams why would that change now?
Prohibiting Annabelle from playing the sport she hopes to play at the collegiate level is not in concert with the “life preparatory academy” tenet of Concord Christian Academy.
Let the girl play!!

I have watched Annabelle play baseball with CCA for the last two seasons and she has been a vital part of the team, she is able to play at the same level as the boys on the team, even leading in some statistics. The CCA board is making a bad mistake singling Annabelle out with being the only female playing on a male team.
