I have watched Annabelle play baseball with CCA for the last two seasons and she has been a vital part of the team, she is able to play at the same level as the boys on the team, even leading in some statistics. The CCA board is making a bad mistake singling Annabelle out with being the only female playing on a male team.

As a full tuition paying parent I find this rule absolutely reprehensible and targeting. I understand and completely support boys not playing in girls sports/teams but I find this to be utterly ridiculous especially considering there is NO GIRLS SOFTBALL TEAM and this literally affects one person. Get your heads out of your asses.

Annabelle is gifted both academically and athletically and has already proven that she belongs on this team. There is no reason that should prevent her from completing her high school athletic career as a baseball player.

There is absolutely no reason she should be removed from the team. There is no harm to anyone and she makes the team better.

Annabelle deserves the right to play softball at CCA as there is no softball program offered. She is a student in excellent standing academically, behaviorally and athletically.

It seems the Hegelian Dialectic is being used to bring harm to a specific family. Creating a problem that doesn’t exist so then you can swoop in and be the hero for solving the problem you created. It is an age old tactic.!! There is no problem with women out preforming men in athletics. There is no problem with girls taking awards from male athletes. If the board wants to create a trans-gender policy then they should have the courage to do so. Instead it seems there may be a hero or two on the board who are only causing trouble for a small community.

She has no other alternative for allowing her to compete. Not allowing her to compete simply because of her gender is halting opportunities based on something she cannot change or control.

The board members who made this decision should be made to resign. I hope the school community holds them accountable!

She should be able to play, even if there was a separate softball team, if she tries out and makes the cut just like the rest of the players!!! Girls are playing baseball more and more!!!

The board should be ashamed of themselves, what we should be focusing on is a petition to remove some of these board members that clearly are not the right fit for the job.
