I am a long distance commuting student. Since I'm studying animation, access to school equipment is really important. I also have to manage issues that come up like missing a train - with overnight access I would have somewhere safe to be if I had to wait until morning for a train and couldn't get an Airbnb. No 24 access makes a difficult commute more difficult.

Why are upper admin paying themselves so much when growing artists are being denied access to the resources they need to grow? Only a non-artist would make this decision.

As a SAIC alumni, I find the cutting of 24 access to studios unacceptable. This is a broken promise to students who enrolled at this school for the maximum access possible to create art in studio. Students have been short changed! If SAIC does not retract this policy, they need to properly compensate students for paying for access they are not getting.

I would have gone to another school if they didn’t tell me about this decision after closing up everything. I feel devastated
