We don't want our kids commute that far from home; we consider it less safe then commuting to near by schools. Respectfully, resident of The Meadows in Glen Allen

We purchased our home so our daughter would be in the Glen Allen High School district.

My daughter will not be attending Tucker Highschool. We just bought this house because it had Glen Allen High School. Very disappointed in Henrico County.

Please don’t isolate our kids by sending them to Tucker with so few of their middle school peers. Our neighborhood has clearly been carved out of unnatural boundaries in option D4.

I am opposed to D-4 and support E-4. The home I bought in the Meadows is close to the current elementary, middle and high schools (primarily Deep Run or Glen Allen) and is why I moved here. On any re-sale I want to be able to list these same schools to future homeowners.

Option D4 should not be considered and is not fair to our children. It is disheartening to hear that an option is being proposed that would completely separate kids that have been together since elementary school. As a parent, I remain extremely concerned about the impact on kids’ safety when they are student drivers and having to commute to Tucker. Overall, this plan does not make sense and I do not support it.

Option D4 should not be considered in the redistributing process. Separating kids from their middle school classmates will fail our kids.

I strongly agree with the petition

We do not want D4 option as it would separate middle school kids going to high school and is not an efficient redistribution of students.

D4 high school option doesn't make sense. Kids in Springfield Corridor area should join their classmates from Holman Middle School at Glen Allen High school. They should not go to Tucker High School.

Please do not move forward with D4 where our neighborhood is singled out. The consistency and UNITY of our Holman kids is integral in their successes at HS. we want to stay zoned in Glen Allen please. our kids deserve this E4 option. thank you.

We moved into our neighborhood because our child needs the best education possible and was tracking into Glen Allen H.S. Tucker has a lower graduation rate, lower math proficiency rate, and lower reading proficiency rate. SAT scores are higher at Glen Allen. These statistics are public information and anyone can (and should) look them up. Those are just a few of the reasons I want my child at Glen Allen like it is supposed to be. Mentally and emotionally, these kids need to stay with their peers and people they are comfortable with. Going to high school is stressful enough let alone going with strangers. Our communities are extremely opposed to D4 and we have a right to be heard. E4 is the best option for many reasons.

My household is opposed to D -4. Public information shows a graduation rate difference between Tucker and Glen Allen to be significant. Tucker's graduation rate is 79% and Glen Allen's graduation rate is 96%. We do not want our student to attend a school where there is a lower expectation of graduates. Building a new school only changes bricks and mortar not teaching excellence.

It doesn’t make sense for sending our kids to far away while there are 2 schools close by.

Transition and loss of property values isn't a smart way to retain population from seeking out Henrico County. I will move and taxes will eventually drop with plummeting home values putting less money in our educators and school boards hands.
