Current bylaws prohibit the keeping of chickens within city limits. This petition is to change those bylaws. Please sign to show your support for changing this bylaw. The rearing of chickens is not only increasing sustainability but also educating young and old alike in the rewarding hobby of animal husbandry.

Chickens are not only beneficial for the organic eggs they produce, but also make great pets as each has a personality and many breeds are available. Proper handling and caging make the lives of urban chickens happy, healthy, and longer than average.
