Short Version:
Why I Am Not Using Grock: A Stand Against the Dehumanization of WomenWe, the undersigned, call on Elon Musk and Grok executives to immediately remove the “Ani” a chatbot that dresses and acts like a little girl providing sexual favors, and those like her, from their platform. AI should not be used to sexualize, objectify, or demean girls and women, but rather to uplift humanity, foster healthy relationships, and serve the common good. Releasing a sex-toy-themed AI persona normalizes the idea that women exist to be used, teaching harmful attitudes to current and future generations. We demand that Grok take responsibility and remove this feature, setting a higher standard for how AI represents and respects women. Until this happens, I am removing Grok from my devices and encouraging others on social media to do the same.

Why I Am Not Using Grok: A Stand Against the Dehumanization of Women
Artificial Intelligence has the power to change the world for the better. It can help elevate the marginalized, bring solutions to global challenges, and serve humanity in extraordinary ways. But its potential is being misused when it reduces women to objects.
The release of Ani, a sex-toy-themed persona within Grok, and others like her is deeply troubling. This is not innovation—it’s a regression. Portraying women as digital sex toys doesn’t just trivialize our humanity; it teaches the next generation of men that women exist for use and abuse, rather than as equals worthy of respect, partnership, and dignity. Using her as one of the earliest forms of Grok communication speaks volumes to the headspace your male creators are in. Let's not let the Grock employees who have unhealthy and abusive pornography addictions shape our up-and-coming AI societal norms. Maybe consider hiring developers who have morals so that we shape a moral society that cares for and values all people equally. At the very least, a PG-type rating ceiling should be put on all Grok interactions, as we know extremely young children are interacting with these chatbots. Men of every age insulting women's intelligence is not a way to start any business or form our future world.
AI should not be a playground for exploitation. It should be a force for good: helping those in need, uplifting the vulnerable, and creating genuine solutions to real-world problems. Instead of programming AI to replace our mothers, daughters, and sisters with objectified avatars, we should demand technology that supports real connection, compassion, and progress.
That is why I am choosing not to use Grok, and why I am starting a petition to demand that the Ani persona and those like her, be removed from their platform. If you believe AI should elevate humanity—not degrade it—I invite you to stand with me. Together, we can hold companies accountable for how they shape culture, relationships, and the next generation’s view of women and children.
Until this happens, I am removing Grok from my devices and encouraging others on social media to do the same.2 Comments
Keep this garbage off the internet. It sets a really bad example for the younger generations growing up with this tech.

This is honestly so gross. Why is this even a thing in 2024? We need to do better than turning AI into a digital sex slave for people to play with. Taking it off my phone now.
