Campaign against individual malicious design to smear members of Visva-Bharati Parivar
The Visva-Bharati Parivar condemns the smear campaign that has recently been launched against Ms. Bodhirupa Sinha, Adhyaksha (Principal), Patha Bhavana by Prof. Sudipta Bhattacharya of the Department of Economics and Politics, Visva-Bharati.
A certain section of Prof. Bhattacharya’s supporters went to the extent of publicly maligning Ms. Sinha by putting up posters during an official prayer on 09 January 2021 at Chhatimtala (Visva-Bharati) that jeeringly dubbed her as a “KALANK” (scourge) on Visva-Bharati’s reputation. All this mudslinging has resulted in severe mental agony for Ms. Sinha, as her professional reputation is being baselessly questioned.
Through this online petition, we declare our solidarity with Ms. Sinha and her family. We sincerely hope that this is the last time that a teacher associated with an institution as hallowed as Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore’s Visva-Bharati is slandered so brutally by a colleague, using such deplorable means.

Seeing this level of support for Bodhirupa reminds me that the character of our community is far stronger than the petty cruelty directed at her. Your response shows that we will not sit quietly while a respected colleague is treated with such disrespect.

Seeing one hundred people stand up against the public humiliation of Bodhirupa Sinha brings me immense relief. It is incredibly heartening to know that so many colleagues value the dignity of our institution and refuse to accept this cruel behavior.

The heinous action against Ms. Bodhirupa Sinha should be nipped in the bud otherwise our university will be at stake to lose its glory. Teachers should be treated with respect and dignity. Hence, I support the petition.
Vilification and slandering of others for ones personal advanvantage is highly deplorable. Mud slinging in public against ones own colleague serves nothing but the defamation of our hallowed institution. I strongly condemn such act of the individual.
I strongly condemn the way Smt. Bodhirupa Sinha, Adhyaksha, Patha Bhavana, Visva Bharati, has been publicly humiliated by Prof. Sudipta Bhattacharya by making false and baseless allegations against her.
Any allegation has a proper way to address to higher authority. What Prof. Sudipto Bhattacharya has done is a gross violation of service rule of Visva-Bharati.
I strongly believe that no one has right to publicly humiliate anyone, even if there is some genuine ground. One has to follow some procedure and remain in one's limitations. Such acts must be stopped immediately. Insulting publicly and that too a lady holding the post of the Pricipal, Patha Bhavana cannot be accepted in an institution like Visva-Bharati, established by Rabindranath Tagore. I strongly condemned the act.

Very recently one of our professor colleague has made a direct complaint to Respected Chancellor, respected mentor of our University against another senior colleague without consulting University administration. It results in very bad impact on our beloved University. I think this is really bad and not acceptable incidence. I think we should condemn and inform all to stop such of things. We have to take be very careful and also remember our prime duty Teaching and Research along with glory of Visva-Bharati. No other things ---
