The property owners and residents of Winns Church Rd. and Greenwood Rd. are against any development of land where the density would exceed 1 home per 2 acres. Lots are currently 2 acres or more and that should be maintained to continue the rural feeling of our community. Currently there is a proposed density of 1.9 houses per acre and that would overburden our infrastructure, It would also change our community into one which we did not seek when purchasing our property or when choosing to live in this neighborhood. Please respect what we have and refuse any applications which would seek a density greater than 1 home per 2 acres.

We are currently preparing our testimony to present at the next planning commission hearing.

we are against density, one house per 2 acres will ease traffic flow and will keep the same type of houses/land ratio that is currently on Winns Church Road.
This area is country roads, narrow winding 2 lanes, often tractors moving to fields., lots of deer and wildlife, no stop lights. Adding a dense neighborhood in the middle of all this is a safety issue and not in keeping with the surrounding community. Bigger lot sizes, approx 2 acres, to reduce the traffic and infrastructure demands is more in line with the area.
My wife and I have enjoyed living on Winns Church Road for more than twenty five years. Adding the proposed 262 houses, each having around two vehicles per house, will likely produce 524 vehicles on the road twice a day during rush hours. This will not only take the joy out of lining in this community, but will cause safety hazards that are not acceptable. Winns Church Road is a narrow, shoulder-less road with hills and blind curves that was not designed for such heavy traffic. The number of vehicles entering route 33 will certainly require a traffic light which should not be paid for by the taxpayers of the county. Allowing such a development with the proposed density will be irresponsible.
Please - VOTE NO! I have lived off of Winns Church most of my life. There is enough traffic as it is on Greenwood as it's being used as a cut through road! Forget about walking this neighborhood. Too dangerous.
I moved from Twin Hickory to Glen Allen / Hanover drawn by comparatively quiet and peaceful aspects of rural living. Saddened by this development plan.
Way to much traffic for the area to a aready dangerous intersection
Same story, different subdivision and/or warehouse. We keep telling our elected officials the same thing for the past 20 years: Our roads, schools, Fire and EMS are not capable of supporting the growth they keep approving. How about the developers build us a new school and a fire station and then we can talk.

We are against houses going up on this road that are less than 2 acres per house. The road itself will not support the increased traffic if all 262 houses are put in and dump trucks and tractor trailers/18 wheelers are going to ruin the condition of the road (Winns Church Road), as well as the road being too narrow and curvy to support vehicles of that size and weight constantly using it to get to and from the building sites of the proposed houses. Multiple accidents are going to happen as a result of these larger trucks and trailers using Winns Church Road, and residents will be in jeopardy just walking to and from their mailboxes (some people have to cross the road to get to their mailbox).
