Developers are planning on building 135 single family homes in the 35 acres on the corner of Ballantyne and Old State Street. Existing planning guidelines allow for 2-4 homes per acre. We Eagle residents must put an end to maximizing the number of houses allowed per acre and demand that this new housing development match the surrounding neighborhoods (Countryside, Lockwood, Lions Gate, etc) by building on a minimum of 0.5 acre lots. These 135 homes, in conjunction with the other developments that will be built in the surrounding area, will be detrimental to our neighborhoods from traffic alone! We must rise up and let our demands be heard and acted upon by our Eagle elected officials.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you reached out to share concerns about the traffic and the character of our neighborhood. It is clear that this is a collective effort and the credit for keeping this issue in the spotlight belongs entirely to you. I am looking into the next steps for approaching the planning office because your persistence is what makes this conversation possible.

Our house backs up to Ballantyne…it already sounds like a drag strip sometimes. NO to higher density at that corner
If this land must be developed, it should be larger lots to fit in with the surrounding neighborhoods! No high density! We already have too much traffic on Old State and Ballentyne.
Eagle is starting to look like California

I encourage the city to follow the code and Eagle comprehensive plan and the density such plan allows, no more!!! Stop back door deals in the Eagle Zoning Dept. End the corruption.
