We the undersigned ask bank regulatory agencies, state and federal legislatures to investigate the lending practices of Advanta Bank, specifically the unjustified and unannounced raising of interest rates on Advanta Bank Credit Cards from interest rates of 35+%-these practices are causing undue hardship upon thousands of card holders and needs to be stopped. Advanta claims to have sent notification of these rate increases, and further claims that increases were due to the borrowers change in credit worthiness, when, in fact, that is rarely the case. We ask that Advanta bank and it's officers be investigated to determine if any laws have been broken by these lending practices.
