If Amarillo does not move forward and encourage growth, Amarillo will return to the time 15 yeas ago when the city's center was virtually abandoned and driving down Polk looked like Detroit. If the new commissioners allow the pending project to die, investor money will leave Amarillo and it will be a very long time before it returns. Our children will be the ones to pay the price for the shortsighted, disastrous policies the new commissioners are determined to press forward.
