El Paso has done a similar downtown redevelopment. They have Symphony Hall, Museum, Multipurpose Event Center, Hotel, etc all sharing underground parking. It is excellent.

The New council members ran on "change". Now they are trying to squash the change to downtown.

Please continue the downtown development! The convention hotel will bring a lot more conventions to Amarillo and generate a lot of revenue, especially for local artisans who set up shop at the conventions.

I am in favor of positive growth of downtown Amarillo as planned by many months and years by the present Aedc Board and not letting the Naysayers Nair, Burkett, and Demerson ruin the positive Growth of Amarillo to satisfy their egos !!

We need to get it gear - we can afford to waste any more time - it is about bringing money into Amarillo which benefits us all. I was there Wednesday and listened for over 10 hours - very informative - get going

The aginners should have acted several years ago, not after it's gone this far. Nobody will trust Amarillo leaders if the city backs out now.
