I think after all the time and effort not to mention the study that was put into the downtown project, it would be a travesty to stop.

This is so important for the city! Born and raised in Amarillo but currently residing in Dallas, I would LOVE to see this project move forward. If I ever have hopes of raising a family in my hometown, I feel like this is one of the necessary steps the city needs to take.

Many cities are revitalizing their downtown areas. Visit San Antonio, El Paso, Albuquerque, Oklahoma City, etc. and you'll see that it means thriving business and tax revenue.

I've been to Albuquerque and San Antonio recently and their downtown areas are amazing and bring in a lot of revenue for the city... please set up a plan to develop our downtown area to provide a destination instead of a stop for the people in the Panhandle!

The question is not nor has it ever been "MPEV or no MPEV? The question is "will Amarillo build all three - hotel, parking garage AND MPEV?" It's one catalyst project not 3 individual buildings. The success of each is dependent on the other. Please build it. Be people of vision not people motivated only through fear .
