I support a vibrant downtown. No offense to our sister cities to the south, but who says lets go to Wichita Falls or San Angelo for the weekend. And kudos to ANB. I attended the opening of the refurnished Coble Building last week. The Ware's announced that they had spent over 1.5 million in landscaping downtown with over 700 trees. (Forgive me if the numbers are some off) The generosity of the home town businesses who love Amarillo should be applauded rather than questioned as self serving

Look at the stadium in Midland. It is a very nice facility and makes for a nice outing.

Why wouldn't we want to better our city? As a 32 year old young dad, I am proud to have been raised in this great city since birth. I too want to make this an even better city and believe that an MPEV would make a great addition and help continue to revitalize downtown.

I support all three projects. Investment is vital. Whatever mix of funds is necessary to get these projects completed, I support. Don't let Amarillo down due to some misplaced austerity belief. This kind of investment can bring major nonmonetary benefits for citizens and tourists, as well as benefit the area economically.

I do not like the way our city has been managed in the past couple of years, but I am very much for the events center and downtown development.We should not throw out great development ideas because of bad city management.
