Please address this serious situation in our schools. These kiddos deserve the services that would come with our education department understanding and acknowledging that Dyslexia is REAL and these kids need HELP.

As a retired first grade teacher it was always very frustrating trying to identify and help a student whom I suspected was dyslexic. After 30 years of teaching, I still do not see evidence of any more training for teachers on this subject.

My son has Dyslexia he is eight years old and struggles at school on a daily basis. He is not receiving any classroom interventions and is expected to do grade level work. He cries himself to sleep and has nightmares about school.
