We have gotten a NO to have another Addiction Awareness & Recovery Walk in Boyertown. Addiction has become a world wide epidemic. Its found its way into our community and surrounding communities. We are losing too many to this disease. It is wiping out our youth. It's leaving children without their parents, who then are being raised by grandparents and parents suffering the most unbearable loss there is........the loss of a child. The 1st "walk" was a success with close to 400 people uniting together to bring much needed awareness to this disease. Please sign and share this petition in support of a 2nd Addiction Awareness & Recovery Walk in Boyertown.

I have been hearing from so many of you who know the pain of losing a loved one to this epidemic. My heart aches for the families left behind because I see those empty seats at the dinner table every single day. I am currently working to secure a face to face meeting with local officials to explain why this walk is a lifeline for our town.

Seeing this momentum move through our community brings me back to the faces of the families who stood with me at our first walk. I am truly overwhelmed by the way this fight has grown because losing our loved ones is a pain no one should carry in silence.

Find a way to make it work. This issue has generated a state of emergency, so clearly all efforts to combat this deadly epidemic must be employed. If you value your position, you need to pull out all the stops to make it happen.

We should not take this away from those who have lost their loved ones to such a terrible addiction.. this is to support those who r fighting to beat the demon who thinks he has control but doesnt

I might still have a son if not for the backwards head-in-the=sand thinking of Boyertown. This is 20 years too late for me, but think of the lives you could save, over your precious "reputation".

I strongly bieve we need to show awareness of addiction. There is a generation being lost and it extends beyond those. My family has been greatly affected by addiction and the struggle of recovery.

As a local business owner working with those in recovery and someone who identifies as being in recovery, this walk would inspire hope and motivation for so many people in our area. We can't expect the world to change if we aren't willing to stand up and make the changes happen. Many people and families need this walk.
