100 animals killed a year needs to be reduced. I have been overtaken by cars doing 60 MPH in the dark. It is always locals who end up killing animals.

Please sign this petition - the forest belongs to the ponies and they have right of way! Please make people slow down - ponies are being killed by selfish drivers!

Maybe stop repairing the roads in the forest so people have to slow down?

Those that understand, respect and care about the animals roaming free on our New Forest are fed up with those who use the roads as rat runs to avoid busier traffic. Fed up with runners and cyclists who startle the animals, dog walkers oblivious of any codes or rules that exist. No one seems to be bothered if you report regular occurance of dogs attacking other dogs, chasing of live stock etc. I was promised a call back by the number given at New Forest Road show. More needs to be done to clamp down on the poor behaviour especially by dog walkers with multiple dogs who become a pack. That old phrase “he won’t hurt you” is not true and not the point!!!!! People must be aware to keep their dogs in sight at all times and under control. I like my own dog but not fussed about being jumped up and soaked by other people’s dogs.

I see people going too fast in the morning along Hatchet Lane every morning and mid afternoon when I’m going to do my horses!! Makes my blood boil !!

The new forest animals have the right of way on the roads and this should be observed by all drivers.

Cutting your speed will result in saving these lovely animals. It is their forest.

Something has to be done to slow people down to save the horses and donkeys.

I am disappointed to see so many drivers ignoring the speed limit, ignoring animal safety, and showing no concern for the environment enjoyed by so many.

It is too easy for local people to get complacent about the danger of stock on the Forest roads particularly when driving to work along the same routes in the dark

Forestry Commission could encourage drivers to send in dash-cam footage of offending (particularly overtaking) drivers. The offenders could then be sent a warning letter.

It's sad that any animals die on roads across the Forest, let alone this high number

This is an absolutely beautiful area to live & work in and seeing people not take it seriously by speeding and overtaking is heartbreaking. Let's all do something to try to stop this please.
