The MUD 480 board has requested a show of support if we would like to look into the possibility of adding a police contract to the community.

I have been hearing from so many of you about the safety concerns in our streets and honestly it just confirms why we need to get these contract numbers in front of the board. People keep messaging me privately about things they have seen and it is becoming clear that we are all feeling pretty much the same level of unease lately. Hopefully the board takes this pile of feedback seriously because I am honestly tired of worrying every single time I walk out the front door after dark.

I really thought this might just be a slow conversation between a few neighbors but the energy here is actually wild now. It is getting hard to keep up with all the notifications but honestly it is just exciting to see that so many of you care about how our community feels at night. I need to get organized because the board is going to have to listen to all of this.

This is not a poll, this is simply a method of showing if the community supported the MUD board looking into the costs and budget associated with adding a law enforcement contract. And the financial breakdown is available, contact the MUD board and they will email it to you.
MUD... I vote No. This is a biased pole, and should not be used to make any decisions. We are not gives the choice to vote or “support” anything but “yes”. I believe we deserve a financial break down and an honest assessment of neighborhood crime. Make no mistake, it will cost us all more!

And to be crystal clear, if this were a poll I would oppose anything that increased a tax to us. Our MUD tax is already insanely high.
