As we all know, Ada the beloved owner of Ada's Variety store passed away on June 30th, 2008. This petition is to keep the store where it is, in tact as is, and possibly make it a historical landmark. For generations Ada put smiles on children's faces for years with her great spirit and as well as the candy she sold. Ada's shop is a great piece of history in Greenwich, the way Ada ran the store was like a blast from the past for the youngest generation that had the experience of knowing her. Her prices were the cheapest kids could find, the quality always amazing and the service even better. Ada was one of the sweetest women in this town, she had a life lesson whenever you needed one, a smile on her face, and a joke to top it all off. Shopping at her store was not just to get candy or snacks, it was an life experience. Ada will be missed forever by 4 generations of kids a lot who are now adults. Her memory should live on, and the store should be a mark of how she made this town a little better, just by being herself.
