The ruts continue to get deeper and now drainage pipes are showing. Someone is going to get hurt on this trail. It's too dangerous for kids and bike riders to cross.

Path needs fixing. My husband fell trying to bike through. And he was bicycling slowly and carefully not zipping through. It's so difficult. We live in ABH and it would be great to have better access.

It is impossible for elderly neighbors, moms with strollers, and young mountain bikers to navigate the trail in its present condition. The new trail will be safer for bikers and walkers. The ruts do not slow down many mountain bikers since they must gather speed to make it up to the top of the steep trail.

In response to the last comment, students actually do walk to school and more will walk to school when the trail is finished since small children and moms with strollers can join us.

Once the paved path is completed, the bikes will be unimpedded and will "fly" by ..the ruts in the path actually help deter their speed and increase the safety for hikers.
Parents as close as a block away from the TOW school regularly "drive" their kids to school so it is questionalble that children from ABH will actually hike to school across the path besides they will have to beware ...corpuscular cayotes are out there...
The path is fine..builds strong hikers and protects neighborhoods intergrity!!

This path continues to get worse and more dangerous. It is a liability for the city at this point. Also, let's promote exercise for the TOW school kids, especially the younger ones, and allow our older citizens safe passage to the beautiful fire road path.

A better pathway would decrease fossil fuel use. It would make getting from from arch beach heights to top of the world

For many years, Residents of Top of the World and Arch Beach Hts. have attended LBCC meetings and written letters to support the city's efforts to build a safe trail from TOW to Moulton Meadows. The city has allocated money for the project, designed a beautiful trail, and now the project is stalled again. PLEASE get it done, not never or later, but NOW, before someone is seriously hurt or another fire comes and our exit is blocked.

This is such an important path so that children can walk to school and avoid the slippery rutted and dangerous present path. I support a new path!!
