Support Less Dangerous Access To Moulton Meadows Trail

As Director of the Laguna Beach Interscholastic Mountain Bike Team, I've witnessed firsthand just how treacherous it is to expect kids with bikes to traverse this access trail. In short, it's a joke right now.

i support this petition, this fence here is utterly rediculus and that the city is not fixing this a disgrace to Laguna Beach. How can 2 households keep this road from being locked......shameless

i am in complete support of improving this path for easier and safer access to this fire trail.

Safer is always better

The city has an obligation to maintain public trails.

The Council needs to do its job in making this path safer for hikers, bikers, and most importantly, children opting for a healthier and greener way to get to school.

Those who appose this selfishly want to prevent access to this treasure that all should enjoy. The NIMBY force is in action!

It's past due time to fix this. Should have been done as part of the city ceding the right-of-way of the PAVED road to the homeowners, when they installed the gate blocking prior access.

Should of happened a long time ago. Unite Laguna Trails!

Please build a safer and easier access to the fire road so more people can use it. In the last fire, I had to drive on this road to evacuate.

Let's make this trail more accessible to school kids, hikers, bikers, and everyone else!

Please follow through and provide a safe trail for those who want to stroll, walk, hike and move in nature. We need to do whatever we can to encourage movement and exercise for all.

I've traversed this trail a couple of times and it really isn't very safe for the casual walker or hiker.

Safe access to the Moulton Meadows Trail is long overdue.

Absolutely – this is by far the most dangerous spot on any of the trails in the city.

Perhaps the city could remove the gate until an access path is completed.

It's ludicrous to me that if somebody trips on a rise in the sidewalk in town, created by tree roots, the city will remove the tree the next day. If the city atty gets notified. The potential for a lawsuit is imminent here. We deserve a safe way out of TOW, period. Rather use the allocated funds for somebody who gets hurt? Or fixing the access road for the safety of our community?

BTW, City Watchdogs: Every time one of the Sommet du Monde neighbors waters it floods the trail, which is one reason it is becoming so rutted and becomes very muddy in the dry months. Please ask the LB Water District to look into this.

I am a mountain biker and use the current trail regularly. I have fallen twice as it is very dangerous. It's too narrow for both bikes and pedestrians. Please fix the trail.
