We request that all elected local, county, and state officials take all actions necessary to completely eliminate Police Jurisdictions. Specifically, we request the County Commission unanimously request the Legislative Delegation to pass an act allowing a county wide referendum to abolish all police jurisdiction (outside of municipal corporate limits) in Morgan County, Alabama
The consistent growth of this petition demonstrates a clear public mandate for reform across Morgan County. This momentum confirms that our community demands a definitive change to current jurisdictional policies.

I am opposed to any police jurisdictions in the state of Alabama. The laws are archaic and should be abolished. They only serve special interest groups and not the citizens.

Our area has better response time than Decatur, so they can stay away, they have more than they can take care of in the city.

The city of Decatur can not afford to serve its people within its immediate city limits; not to mention any extra.

Please eliminate PJs in this state. Decatur City Council, and other cities in this state, want to increase tax revenues inside the PJ without residents in that PJ having a voice at city polls. A believe a revolution was fought over such a matter.

It's dumb to have a pj if the city is not even going to proved service to to the citizen living in the pj.

Taxation without representation! City of Decatur you need to worry about growth of the city - look at Athens they have expanded greatly the past 5 years - if I wanted to live in the city I would have done so 35 years ago - nothing but bureaucratic red tape and fees! Pull back your pj!
