The monarchy in Canada costs Canadians millions and is very unnecessary. When you are working hard to put food on the table you are also paying for the queen's hat collection or for someones who you never met wedding. Canada pays $1.53 per capita each year when England pas $1.32 per capita each year. Why are we paying more than them? What is relay unfair is how undemocratic the whole thing is. We don't get to vote for who we want to be queen it is birthright. I a free country like Canada how come we can't vote for who we want to be head of our state? The queen is not from Canada but she thinks she can rule it. What did she do to have her face on our money? What did she do that (for exp.) Terry fox did not do? A real hero who is from Canada should be on our bills and coins.
