As someone that has known Ashley for well over a decade I can say without a doubt that I know her better than half of the community. Ashley doesn't just put her children first she puts all children first. Ashley chose to question an organization that is supposed to be there for the CHILDREN. Which ALL parents that are apart of that organization are allowed to do. Those people that are making those decisions that are supposed to be for the children are NOT making decision FOR the best interest of ALL the decision of they are making racial slurs stating that they don't want certain races of children involved in their activities. For these people to retaliate against Ashley and ban her from the practices, games, fundraisers, and all other activities because she questioned them and was a 'whistleblower' is absolutely absurd. IF Ashley was an nusiense as they had said she would not have been able to sit on the same board that they do. She chose to step down from the board on her own. She was not forced off the board. She has put in countless hours of her time to do so much for these children. For the GOOD of the CHILDREN and of SHADY. It is NOT in the BEST interest of any child for them to have their mother (or teammates mother) arrested for sitting quietly with their ONE year old baby sister on her lap while watching you at football practice. It is NOT in the best interest of the child to be bullied because of her being arrested and being taken out of school because of it. It doesn't just hinder his mental well being but also his mental and emotional. They are teaching the children of the community that it is okay to be racist. They are teaching these children that it is okay to bully. Neither of which anyone should be teaching these children and if they are they should NOT be making the BIGGER decisions for these children. Shady Spring was a great community to raise your children. For children to play sports. For children to go to school. Shady NEEDS to be made GR

Sad that adults are acting like this, when they are the ones that should be in trouble - saying they didn't want a black kid. How sad that some people can't grow up and act like our children need us to act.

Shame on this league. Lived and went to school there and experienced the bullying and clique culture in that community and have no desire to go back. I hope somebody steps up and ends this petty bullying. Leadership got caught saying things that don't belong in any part of society ever and they are taking it out on a mother who just wants her kid and others to have the same opportunities that we as Americans are all afforded under our constitution..
. Really? Ashley get a lawyer and contact the ACLU.... having somebody arrested over this.... really in front of her kids.... there's a special place in he double hockey sticks for the likes of you....
