Abercrave RFC are embarking on an exciting community project. We are seeking funding to re-develop the main hall at the club to provide a facility for use by local groups and organisations. The proposed works will involve the complete refurbishment of the hall together with the provision of a kitchen and new toilet facilities.
The new facilities will be available for community bookings between 10.00am and 9.00pm.
We are now undertaking an extensive consultation exercise within the local community to ensure that the refurbishment meets the needs of the community and further gather support for this project prior to the submission of a funding application in September 2016.

The numbers are inching up toward that hundred count and I really think hitting that milestone before I print these out for the council will show them we aren't messing around. My kitchen table is already covered in these design prints and it would be great to walk into that meeting knowing we have a solid block of people behind us.

I have recently made my home in Abercraf one of the things I liked about it was the sense of community, so I am in full support of upgrading the facilities.
Always a great welcome from our friends at Abercrave as an age grade coach with Bridgend Athletic RFC. Grass roots rugby needs better facilities for players and the community. Best of luck to you all.
I fully support Abercrave RFC in this project. I work in the community with the elderly, and I believe this will be an excellent meeting place for local groups.
I was part of the first Juniors team some 25 years ago, and now my children get to play in the red, black, & Amber. Great Club and approaching 125 years of rugby in the village. We need your support to keep it going in a area with very little resources for the community!
Rugby clubs will soon be like our chapels - empty and derelict unless we can encourage reinvestment and open our doors to the whole community.

I have been using this club for over 40 years and it is very much a family club and with such a large mini section at the club at the moment this needed to develop and support the children coming through our community
