A55 traffic is absolutely disgusting. Gridlock on all roads. Horrendous traffic on Sychnant Pass and making Penmaenmawr a death trap with all the traffic trying to bypass the A55.
Get it sorted!

Take a look at how the French Motorway Companies deal with Major Minor road works, grass cutting and incidents with minimum disruption to roads users whilst on the A55 to long delays and that is just for grass cutting.

The constant road works and traffic on the road from Colwyn Bay toward Bangor are so much of a nightmare that I actually avoid heading west on the A55. If others living in Llandudno, CBay etc.. are like minded I hate to think how much this is costing businesses / day in that direction.

Typical of Highways maintenance, massive disruptions for commuters with little or no evidence of works being carried out.

Took 2 hours to get through last Friday afternoon and all we saw was 1 guy digging a hole by the Puffin Café and I guy on his mobile watching him ,
This will kill the North Wales economy as people just wont set up business or visit the place ,
Pathetic

1/2 hour journey to work now takes 1 1/2 hours each way, no works can be seen in progress, just lane closures. This needs sorting NOW.

Let's get the work finished as soon as possible, the A55 is a lifeline for many people and businesses and this disruption is inevitably having a knock on effect on many many people.

I think being as the work being done is only minor, then they should do this work on a night time... I live in penmaenawr and the traffic coming through the village is ridiculous and having to use sychnant pass is just as bad as everyone has the same idea... Ive seen sheep laying dead on the side of the road along the pass and its just total mayhem. Something needs sorting as its becoming dangerous all due to changing lights.. Its totally unnecessary

West bound on the A55 for 4.7 miles of cones and the final 80-100 yards just before the roundabout men are actually working. Work is taking place at night when the allowances are at their highest; day allowances are lower so if there were 2 or 3 shifts then the work would be cheaper and quicker and the hire cost of all the cones etc, would also be lower. Cones will never stop a vehicle out of control for whatever reason at 40mph. In Cornwall 2 articulated cabs with huge buffers are used to protect workmen, the cabs roll with the work so that there is minimum disruption normally for about 100 yards. Gwynedd road safety policy makes no sense and does not actually protect the workforce.

This is disgraceful, I've been up and down the road everyday and I can honestly say that I've only seen about 5 people working there.

It has cost me over £50 more to pay the childminder the past week or so because ive been VERY late picking up my one year old.
Im going to the council offices next week to submit a claim.
The roadworks are a discrace, i travel on that part of the A55 everyday and you rarely see anyone working, just the odd van with men sitting in them doing sod all !!
Disgraceful the amount of roadworks on the A55.
Typical, organised chaos!!!
