They could manage this better. During the day not a soul can be seen working so why is the tunnel closed off in 1 lane. Simple solution, keep cones in centre and open 2 lanes running at 40mph? Not difficult is it?

The traffic control of this stretch of the A55 is appalling. I have never seen so many times lanes have to be closed on such a stretch of road. Conwy Council need to wake up and see the chaos.

Surely the Authorities cannot expect us to endure the utter chaos on the A55 for the next 2 months! I have yet to see anyone actually working in the tunnels and I travel this route daily, so why are they reduced to one lane for so long?

I totally agree they should do the work at evening time when less traffic is around they done it through the junction so why carnt they do it there

The only reason the contra flow is being left in place is to reduce the contractors costs not to help motorists

I travel this road 2-4 times a day, have no other option. Queues have made me late for everything, I've seen multiple people hit cones. People sat in traffic on their phones cars moving, even saw a child having to get out of a car to be sick ... not on conwy council absolutely pathetic

I'ts ridiculous the amount of traffic while only 3 little men working with diggers miles from were the cones start

There must be something that can be done to help ease the traffic problems caused by these roadworks - there are more days of delays than not on the A55.

We travel through here to Caernarfon most weekends. This definitely needs to be addressed regarding the timings especially during peak times in the week.

I work at Bangor University every day ( and have been working there for the past 8 years). I also have a daughter with Down Syndrome so it is important that I get back to pick her up on time, after work, from wherever that is. I am sick and tired of the regular roadworks on A55 between Conwy and Bangor, especially when they put single file traffic systems through both tunnels!! Does the local authority and the Welsh assembly ever talk to one another? Where are the forward planning considerations in all of this between WA and LA? Who devised the diabolical traffic flow management systems this time? There is very little consideration given to drivers who have to go to work ever day and earn a living and who, as in my case, have caring responsibilities!!!

I live on Sychnant Pass Road on the Conwy side, and it's impossible to get out and back home in the mornings as the volume of traffic over the Pass is unbelievable.

trvaelling back sunday pm, needles lane closure and tailbacks, near miss when an Irish lorry - " HANSON`s " decided to ignore the lane closue, came hurtling through the tunnel at speed followed by a car with republic of ireland plates. No-one to stop them and doubt anything was done. A BIG ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN !!!
