constantly repairing and "improving" a perfectly good piece of road is pointless.
Very badly managed and taking a hideously long time to drive a couple of junctions while lane and tunnel closures happen.

I wish someone at highways and planning would think more carefully before putting tunnels closures etc in place. can we not have free / subsidised rail fares along the coast whilst this is happening ?

I live in Penmaenmawr and work in Llandudno Junction. My 6 minute journey from work takes me 50 minutes minimum now. It takes ages getting out of the carpark at work as Llandudno Junction is in complete gridlock. Our employers don't take roadworks into consideration or amend our hours, so it means extra childcare arrangements as we are held up endlessly in traffic!!! Are the government and councils gunna pay for the additional expense?? As for these 2 roundabouts being removed, perhaps they would think of actually creating a bypass road before plunging us into an additional 2 years of this crap. People in Llanfair get cut off regularly when things happen on the A55!!

I live in Llandudno Junction and use the A55 daily to get to and from my place of work and I am constantly stuck in traffic coming home along the A55 and then stuck again through Llandudno Junction as a result of these road works.

I had to travel up to Tal-y- Cafn and cross the river and back to Conwy and over the sychnant pass to get to Penmaenmawr the other night. Ridiculous number of miles!

ive never known a road to have constant roadworks its awful for workers who have to commute to anglesey after work it needs to be looked at before you start doing the roundabouts please

My average commute in the last ten days has been 90 mins each way. I live 12 miles from work. If I wanted that sort of commute I'd live in London. I am a full time teacher and a volunteer counsellor: my pupils and clients cannot be put off due to my journey time and my children cannot get up two hours earlier to be able to get to their school on time!

The roadworks on the A55 were going on when I moved to Bangor in 2012, and have been a constant hassle ever since. The worrying thing is that the roads/tunnels never seem to get any better - (at least) three years of traffic-inducing roadworks, but nothing seems to improve. A business trip to Rhyl the other day meant a five hour round trip as a result of the pointless, slow traffic. What's more is that the road workers never actually seem to be doing any work; most of the time you don't see any workers at all, and if you do they're just stood around talking. In an area suffering from crippling economic problems, ridiculously pointless roadworks and traffic are not a good way of increasing inward investment. Additionally, I have had many near-misses on the A55 as a result of the traffic, which puts me off visiting towns outside of North West Wales.
If these roadworks were being done in England, they would have been completed in about three months, because local councils would never allow this sort of thing to happen.

I also thinkbthere should be some consideration around bank holiday because you can guarantee on a bank holiday some part of the A55 will be reduced to 1 land for works/later picks

Some body ran in to the back of my car at peak time going into the conwy tunnel ,i, pass 6:15am why are they not working then!!!

It taking the piss! Every day i have to go 30min extra just to be in work on time and ever time i come home there is nobody doing work!

it needs to be sorted out ASAP it's causing problems not least to say a lot of safety issues ambulances and police or fire engines are struggling to get through quickly putting people at Danger
