We, the undersigned, STRONGLY OBJECT to the proposal to lengthen the Ann Arbor Municipal Airport runway by 800 feet and move 150 feet from the east end of the runway to the west, making it 950 feet CLOSER to Lohr Road, because we believe this will make it significantly more DANGEROUS for the local residents of Ann Arbor, Pittsfield and Lodi. Because there are no planned studies to examine the safety of the surrounding population, and because the airport has an EXCELLENT SAFETY RECORD already, we STRONGLY URGE Ann Arbor City Council members to PROTECT the safety of their residents by REJECTING this proposal. We are concerned about the future financial impact of this project on us as local taxpayers, and STRONGLY URGE the City Council not to run the risk of WASTING valuable tax dollars on a project that will have LITTLE BENEFIT for the majority of us.

I oppose the expansion of the Ann Arbor Airport runway. There are two perfectly good airports nearby, this one does not need to expand for the convenience of elite hobbyists, and corporate tailgaters.
An expansion would increase noise, pollution, and risk of bird-aircraft collisions over a large area of Ann Arbor for the benefit of a few wealthy individuals and corporations. Completely unnecessary when Willow Run in underutilized.
I live in the Lake Forest subdivision, and strongly oppose the Ann Arbor Airport runway extension. It would negatively impact the safety and quality of life of many with questionable benefits to only a few.
This proposal is inappropriate, Willow Run is a much better option for the landing of larger planes. Sixty years ago we lived in a neighborhood west of Midway Airport in Chicago, when a large plane went down one block from us and all aboard were killed. When you have lived thru that experience, you never want to repeat it.
The crash danger from large number of Canadian geese in the area, potential threat to our groundwater and planes landing 93 feet above MY home are all reasons I oppose expansion of the Ann Arbor Airport runway.
It’s ridiculous how the rich and famous have come to take over Ann Arbor and turn it into a mini Chicago junkie city. More money, more problems, more homeless I’m pushing out the people who made it great in the first place!
This will be devastating to neighboring areas.

Airport is already a nuisance with training flights going way too low over single family homes. They are supposed to stay above 500 feet but don't. It's only a matter of when not if a plane will crash. Airport should be closed and converted to housing. Planes should go to Willow Run.
