I don't know about you but I'm tired of the stigma America puts on mental health. It's not something to be ignored. Depression can cause irrational thoughts in even the most sane looking individuals.How many school shootings is it going to take? How many suicides? How many kids have to continue to feel alone or isolated? What we need is our education system to put an emphasis on mental health issues. When i was in school I wanted someone to talk to outside of home that didn't just care about my TAKS scores. Every school needs to have a trained psychologist present on the campus or psychiatric training for what they're passing off as school counselors these days. Students need to be evaluated and the faculty monitored on a daily basis. It didn't have to be this way. You have to stop trying to tell everyone to "tough it up" or "hit them back" this is serious. Emotions are apart of being human and we all NEED help. We can't complain if we don't do our part. I'm not saying this will go anywhere, but its a step in the right direction.
