Millions of children & teens struggle with Mental Illness yet do not know much about it or have resources to learn and understand their feelings. Including some form of mental health education in our school’s criteria as a core class (or elective) would help children & teens better understand themselves, and others. As well as, potentially prevent negative issues (bullying/violence/etc.) within our schools and communities if the youth understood their feelings and had resources to help them with them.
Too many kids suffer in silence and don't even have the words to ask for help. This is long overdue and needs to be in every school.
