The Film Forum finally stopped ignoring us and booked the full Mamie Van Doren retrospective. They were clearly dragging their feet but our pressure forced their hand. We won this round so enjoy the films and stay ready in case they try to pull the plug.

Mamie Van Dore is, to use the perhaps overused phrase, iconic of a time and a style in American cinema. A retrospective of Ms. Van Dore would offer a broad range of study in film theme, style and sociology. And, of course, her films are entertaining.
Mamie Van Doren is a national treasure,and the last of the 1950s blonde bombshells,who has been ignored by the film community,please do this,she deserves it!
Mamie is an example of the 1950 glamour girl actress and should have a showing of her work
Miss Van Doren was an under-rated actress who lit up the screen . She's also perhaps the most photographic beauty of the 20th and 21st century so far. A true living legend and iconic star full of joie de vivre... she deserves a film forum retrospective !!!
She's still alive, bright, and politically active. She would likely attend the retrospective, and have lots to share about the various films she appeared in.
Mamie is a true living legend and part of Hollywood history.. what a dame! What a presence on the silver screen!... please do a NYC Film Forum Retrospective of her movies!

I hope that Ms. Van Doren will be able to receive a retrospective on her work, whether at the NYC Film Forum or at another location. As the 50s were about rock-and-roll, she was a rock-and-roll actress, and I hope she can be reevaluated.
