To: The NSW Minister for Planning, members of the Independent Planning Commission, Premier of NSW and Deputy Premier of NSW.

I would like to record my support for the proposed Broke Village Square. This proposed development can only come about if you grant permission and authorisation for the buildings of the Ravensworth Homestead to be re-located to McNamara Park in Broke. We see this as being of great merit and an asset to the community and visitors of Broke and all visitors of the Hunter Valley.

By doing so it will give 100+ more years to these buildings and create a special place that will benefit everyone.

Live opposite the proposed site, broke badly needs a venture like this, we are becoming a sought after tourist destination and there simply isn't anywhere for a traveler to sit and unwind without going to a vineyard, it will also create local jobs

Yes spent a great weekend at smoke in broke How great it would be to have a cafe close by and better toilet facilities in the park as it didn’t not cope at all with the amount of campers

This is a fantastic example of proper use of planning controls to assist a very worthwhile community lead initiative It also fits nicely with preserving our built heritage in a usable way

We will become Broke residents when we take possession of our house in July and see the Village Square as a move which can provide vitality and a centre for Broke Village. We would like to be involved.

I fully support this initiative. Grounded in history and culture, this is a great opportunity to reflect Broke’s place as the soul of the hunter - a place for local communities, tourists, wine makers, artists, craftspeople, foodies and historians to connect and build a viable future outside of heavy industry.

This is a great idea and our family supports it to the full…a local project, an added tourist attraction to the destination, and adds value to a piece of worth saving architecture. It will help local growth.

Excellent initiative. A win both for the old historic homestead and the Broke village.
