Please sign our petition to South Tyneside Council to make the Temple Park Juniours Site the home of Whiteleas Juniors Football Club. The club works with over 300 youngsters aged 3-16 years old and is ran by hard working dedicated volunteers who are passionate about football

The days feel long and the process is draining but we keep pushing for these kids. We need a final surge to reach one hundred signatures so the council sees that we are not going away.

I coach 1 of 3 whiteleas under 8's sides and it would be great to have the facility as our own and to help the kids to feel part of a bigger picture.

I won the best ever school boy trophy here in 1988 for temple park juniors. Best ever memory in football. Let these kids have same dream i had

Grassroots football is no longer played on ploughed fields with jumpers for goalposts. Community clubs require community based facilities and local councils must support it.

Surely the council must see this as the right thing to do for the community? What's the alternative...let it rot like the old temple park playground? The children have a base here and frankly it's not the councillors that are stood there three times a week, sometimes more, watching the kids train and learn new skills. This is for the community...give the kids a place to call their footballing home.

My grandson and now my great grandson have both played for Whiteleas. Great club, they really deserve to have their own base

I love the fact that my kid has has somewhere to go and do what he enjoys in a fun and caring environment and is well organised instead of wandering the street. Surly keeping kids off the street is something that the council should be taking seriously
