The legislature has enacted a statute, allowing grandparents to visit with their grandchildren when a parent is deceased - in this case murdered. The parents of the late Shele Danishefsky Covlin, have waited 2 years to see their grandchildren and now it may be too late, as they are both hospitalized and in poor health. Joel and Jaelene Danishefsky made an emergency application in July 2011, begging the court to permit them to see their grandchildren but to date that application has not moved the court here in New York City. Joel and Jaelene Danishefsky are righteous, decent and kind people whose lives have been totally shattered by this double tragedy. Please sign this petition in support of grandparent visitation for the Danishefskys.
