Especially with the end of Spud’s Round. Especially given the recent deaths of Adam and Troy Selwood. Especially with the ever increasing struggles of people with mental health, me included, yea it’s essential.

Mental Health needs to be talked about, that one conversation could have a massive effect on someone feeling like there is no life left for them

Absolutely, Spuds game is great but it’s not enough. AFL definitely needs to do more and having a whole round dedicated includes everyone!

Thank you Tom for your love and support in the area of MENTAL HEALTH. I truly support this program and you. We love you and l supported your decision to leave the playing field. You are true to yourself and we loved you at the Western Bulldogs.

The best thing about AFL is the way it embraces and galvanises community, there is no better way to support mental wellbeing and prevention than using this community to raise awareness, funds and make positive change!

Every issue in society is important, but this is the single biggest killer of men in their prime years and we need to gather together and support each other. Let's make it happen.

Any awareness for mental health is great, however having it done through a highly followed male sport will reach many men far and wide.
