Thank you my mother has back pay of $7000 & not only did I get denied for regular UC. I also got denied for PEUC but got an email saying my determination was coming.

about two years ago I was fired from the Blairsville,pa wallmart. I went through the self check out line and forgot to pay.They waited four days to adress the issue.I was pulled into the office and they talked to me about what I did. I told them it was a accident and did not remember the incident. They fired me any way. They said that the incident would not go on my record ,as far as walmart is concerned it was gross misconduct.I have a clean record and never stole anything in my life.My term at blairsville,pa walmart has never went well,the environment is not worker friendly. Since I was fired ,I applied for unemployment,I didnt tell them about what happened at walmart just that I lost my position.To my surprise I got the unemployment I really didnt think I was going to be approved.Then at the end of the six months the unemployment office decided that I have to pay it back.I tried to talk to the unemployment office but they gave me the run around.I feel that the whole system has felled me. Im tired of paying back something that should have been mine to start with.Whats the point in me being a good citizen if Im going to be treated like a criminal.When the pandemic started I applied for unemployment I have not gotten any money and I have no job.I finally got through to talk to a uc representative they tell me that my pandemic uc is being used to pay off the over payment.They said that I didnt deserve the money.With my savings I paid the overpayment off to get uc doing this pandemic.Then I find out that I have to pay penalty weeks

In times like this the state should of already prior to the pandemic had a plan in place deal with the influx in unemployment and other government programs, bringing in extra help in answering calls,emails, and questions, updated software systems to handle the volume of claimants, a way to get funds to claimants faster and more reliably. A fraud department that was better equipped to find and stop fraudulent claims. And a better system for getting updates and important information, schedules, or mandates out to UC claimants in a timely manner. None of this was the case. This is something we cannot afford to have happen because peoples lives depend on these services. Especially when they are forced to rely on them, of no fault of there own because of a worldwide pandemic that completely shuts down our country! There needs to be a complete overhaul of the UC system and the amount of funds that are allotted to individuals because frankly it is nowhere near enough to survive on through something like this!

This is not right that we keep getting the run around when we are able to speak with a Rep. after redialing over 200 times! I keep getting the excuse that it is an Examiners hands with not decision for weeks now. My bills are piling up and jobs are not hiring as much because there is so much competition for one job you apply for! All of this is insane and something needs to be done!

I filed for UC back in May 2020. Got my Financial Determination letter, pin and my card in the mail. Have not gotten anything saying if I've been approved or denied. Have called and emailed. Feels like there's nothing else I can do...

Have been waiting for answers since May 17. I finally could file a bi-weekly in July an was paid for 1 week then my claim closed and have been trying to reopen.
