The style of backpack you carry is not going to change the main safety concern. Only metal detectors will do that.

Aye I don't got time in four minutes to take a piss, go to my locker, then make it on time to my gay ass class. I didnt spend over 50 dollars on my backpack to have it sit in my locker. This bitch ass principle came to my class and said "I allow string bags cuz I can see object shapes." Bitch no. Then she got us standin out side in the wee hours of the morning freezin our mf asses off when almost all of us are dead ass tired. They better pass this petition otherwise imma just start carryin my backpack around and not give 2 shits what anyone says.

It's impossible to get to class on time as it is, there's no way we can stop at our lockers three times a day to get everything we could have just had in a backpack in the first place

Unless a student is a known threat, they should be allowed to carry their school bags to class, especially since they have only four minutes to get to class and it takes way more time to get from one side of the school to another if you have to stop at your locker, and really REALLY need to squeeze in a potty break.

I agree totally! I believe that most (or all) of this is because our new principal is on a power trip to try to intimidate us. There was absolutely no logic used in the process of creating/enforcing these rules.
