The council finally caved and gave us the green light for the skatepark. Those bureaucrats tried to ignore us for months but our 122 signatures forced their hand. Don't think for a second we aren't going to be watching every single phase of this construction to make sure they actually …

Waterlooville is constantly growing into a bigger & bigger town, we think its time a skatepark is built in our local area!

Updates

October 4, 2016

The local council continues to ignore the blatant lack of facilities for our youth while they approve one housing development after another. I am tired of seeing them stall and I am taking this fight directly to their offices next week.

October 4, 2016

The local council cannot keep ignoring us now that we have this much momentum behind our demand for a skatepark. They want to leave our town with nothing for youth but these signatures show they are losing the argument.

There is a huge demand for a skatepark in Waterlooville! The nearest ones are Denmead & Clanfield & too far away.

I've been wanting a skatepark since I was younger as I've grown up around here, no use to me now but a great investment for youth and to keep them interested in a hobby and busy from the streets

I feel like that were just waiting for waterlooville to have a skate park but we need something to push it to be built. Especially with the recent developments that's going to be happening with the new McDonald's, cinema and other things being built. It does not have to look like the most modern, advanced thing but even just a few ramps would be massively appreciated by the many and make us feel like our voices are heard. Please consider

This needs to happen. The local parks are getting ruined by the wrong crowd of people coming there and because of the age cracks and holes are appearing. Please make it a decent size with a layout designed by people who actually know what they're doing. We need a local park built properly unlike the current ones

Skateparks provide positive activity for young people and older. Gives them a safe place to be active and socialise. West Mercia Police financially supported Hereford Skatepark with £10k and on street anti social behavior has dropped to zero. Anna Toon, Co-Founder and former Chairperson, Hereford skatepark

This is well well overdue. It is about time that Havant borough council invested some of our money on a good recreational facilitiy for skateboarding and sports alike. I grew up in waterlooville and from the age of around 14 would almost daily ride my bike to south downs to use the skatepark near the college or sometimes denmead! Time for a change I really hope this goes ahead!

I think this skatepark would be a huge addition to this community as there is not much to do for younger people in the area
