
WI LUTHERAN COLLEGE RE-ZONING OPPOSITION TO PARKING GARAGE


We formally register our opposition to the proposed Change of Zoning from Residential to Institutional for the 16 parcels on Blue Mound Road, Maywood Avenue, Bel Air Court and Wisconsin Avenue. We ask the Council and Plan Commission to recognize that allowing Wisconsin Lutheran College to expand its footprint further into Wauwatosa via this proposed change in zoning is not in compliance with the City's Comprehensive Plan and will permanently and irreparably damage the residential quality and architecture of the surrounding neighborhood and therefore should be rejected. The proposal will lead to increased problems with traffic, noise, congestion and should be rejected. Furthermore, although not a criteria for denial, the significant erosion of the City's tax base does not contribute to the welfare of the City as a whole.
