I oppose the parking structure!!! The freeway construction, which will still last years, has made a mess of our street (Pleasant View St). It is now being used as an access road to the Froedert Hospital grounds.

I have lived in Ravenswood 35 years, directly to my east is the WL High School and to my north an west is WLC. I have heard the broken promises, seen first hand the bad neighbor antics, you know the kind, it’s my property and you can't do anything about it; even something as simple as calling the school about noise or lights falls on deaf years. I am opposed to the re-zoning of WLC property due to their known non-compassion nor understanding what it means to be a part of a community and neighborhood, and how we together create a sense of space and quality of life. They have misled us before and will continue too. Yes, I am calling WLC out on the carpet, for their antics and lack of respect as a so called “Religious organization” to their neighbors and two cities they have their properties in. 37 family homes properties purchased by WLC are now in the arrears due back taxes since 2012. Yet WLC claims these homes are now an institutional property therefore, non-profit status takes over. Say good by to our tax base here in Tosa in the surround neighborhoods of the college and High school. Their current new garage & dorm has only 15 students parking in it due to the cost WLC charges, you see its revenue for them a money making business rather than parking and dorms for their students. The upper levels of the new dorm charge $1400.00 in rent, and are listed as High End Apartments. However, they tell all us “that’s its future student housing,” and “need this rent to pay for the building.” WLC received an endowment a number of years back above 25 Million and less than 55 million which is when the High school (84th street/Glenview ave) started expanding and WLC proper. They are a money making institution, 25,000 year for tuition alone. Now they have either an additional endowment or its part of the prior one in which WLC says it is only earmarked for parking. Let them build in Milwaukee, a block away. UWM students commute, so can WLC. Why should WLC be treated any d

Significant time, money and energy was spent by elected officials, city staff and residents to develop the Comprehensive Plan for Wauwatosa. Why have a plan if it's going to be ignored?

Wauwatosa is a City of Homes. Removing these well built and desirable homes reduces the pool from which families can choose. This area is particularly desirable due to the proximity to the Medical College, Froedtert Hospital and Children’s Hospital. In a time when municipal budgets are stretched to the limit it is not prudent to reduce the property tax base for any reason much less a parking structure in this residential neighborhood.

Please protect our beautiful neighborhoods and not allow anymore construction of WLC. It great to see it grow but it needs to find a area outside their current location.to be a in outlining area

The College chose to locate in a residential area 40 years ago. There was no adjoining vacant space; the area was not blighted - rather, it was populated with lovely homes. Wauwatosa City Officials need to resist any zoning changes, unlike the City Officials who agreed to harmful zoning changes in 1990 and 2002

We are in opposition to WLC's proposal to rezone 16 parcels of residential property to institutional. It will erode the asthetics of our neighborhood and diminish the tax base for the City of Wauwatosa. We recommend that WLC consider building the parking structure on the college owned property on Wisconsin Avenue, west of 89th street.

The parking garage as proposed will be an eyesore. Gaudy brick walls. Flat roof with a big overhang is a tiresome cliche.

Thank you for letting our citizens speak to this issue. When the Luthern College built the college they made a statement "we will not expand".

For the past 20 years I have lived on the west side of Pleasant View Street. Over the past 12 years I have watched WLC destry the residential character our neighborhood as it has acquired beautiful homes and torn them down for its institutional expansion into Wauwatosa neighborhoods. These areas have been designated as residential zoning by the City Master Plan. Please urge our alderpersons to put s stop to the relentless expansion and destruction of our neighborhoods by denying the WLC rezoning request on February 17, 2015.

I was a Wauwatosa Alderman (1978-1992) and tried to stop the first zoning change for their Rec Center in 1990. Their second request came in 2002 for the science building which is when they purchased most of the 38 properties they own. They also own another 30 homes in the City of Milwaukee. It is a Milwaukee institution, not a Wauwatosa one. This continuous "spot zoning" plan MUST be stopped. Wauwatosa MUST UPHOLD and DEFEND its Comprehensive Plan and keep these properties residentially zoned.
