This trail cost way to much to build! I want to see more trails like this in Ukiah, but not at this cost.

I just returned from a trip that went through Oregon, Idaho, and Montana where I saw extensive walk/bike paved trails. Why are we so far behind in California?

Rail Trail is attractive enough and will get better with some native landscaping. It makes it easy and pleasant to get around town and is safer for bicyclists. It helps to move downtown Ukiah out of the Wasteland mode that it seems stuck in.

I love the rail trails and use them several times a week especially the weekends. Would be very fun to see it extended in south direction.

The new trail is a great start, but just a start to an important asset to our community.

What a quick, easy, safe, quiet, enjoyable and beautiful way to commute on a bike or walk through Ukiah while avoiding the noise, pollution, congestion and dangers of auto traffic! Brilliant design, sustainable – an absolute infrastructure bargain and user-friendly model worthy of future expansion throughout the city and valley!

I believe extending the rail trail would increase bike and foot traffic. A healthy community is attractive to both visitors and people who want to relocate.

Look at every other [good] city in the country and they are investing more, not less, in their pedestrian and cycling infrastructure. Extending our rail trail is only one step Ukiah should take to make our city more attractive to businesses and talented professionals. Planners: more people use the trail than you may think.

We use and enjoy the trail improvements at Lake Mendocino, the development of the Ukiah Valley Trail in Low Gap and the new Rail Trail. Such developments support a healthy lifestyle while lessening our dependence of fossil fuels. Such investments are for our town's future development, healthy and safety.

This is a very worthwhile project that will encourage people to get out on foot or on bikes which contributes to our community's overall health. Well made and positioned trails are shown to enhance the beauty and safety of the area they're in, benefitting us all. Please continue with this rail/trail project!

The Rail Trail is a no-brainer. Of course we should use that right-of-way for bikes and pedestrians, it is a public asset.

So glad to see this finally open! I would use the rail trail to get across town to run errands when it was just a dirt path, so happy to see this great route much safer now and more accessible to riders of all levels!
