The administration has confirmed the ceremony will be moved to the quad to accommodate additional guests. We achieved our goal of securing a larger venue for the Class of 2018. I will continue to monitor the logistical transition to ensure the new ticket allocations are distributed as promised.

To UNCA Students, do you want graduation to be as inclusive of an event as it has been in past years? Help to petition the administration to hold this momentous event on the quad. Four tickets is not enough for most people and keeps students from supporting their graduating friends.
If the quad is unavailable, the Class of 2018 would like to propose the counter offer of findining a different and larger venue in the Asheville area. Students deserve an appropriate amount of tickets for graduation and the consequence of more tuition being paid towards the school should not result in a lack of support for said students.

4 tickets is absolutely unacceptable. I have to choose between my dad or brother as to who gets to see me graduate. It took more than 4 people to out me through college. This is wrong and unacceptable. This just makes unca look like it only cares about money and not it's students. Fix it now.
there are so many first gen students that have families that want to see them graduate. in general, there are more than 4 people that support each student through college. if you want the school to keep growing, the school needs to accommodate more, not the students accommodate less.
Our granddaughter will graduate from UNC-A in May. We and many more in her family made plans to attend months ago. Now we find the venue is not large enough. What a disappointment! Please move the graduation to the Quad!! Thank you!
Graduation on the quad is truly a beautiful way to end our college career some of our first memories were the tour groups where we exited lipinsky walked up the liberty and gazed out on the quad. We don’t care to end it in a gym. Please let people end it here on the quad.
This is completely unreasonable. As students we have been paying tuition for 4-5 years. The least the university can do is allow us to have more than 4 guests attend. They need to both move it to the quad and consider having multiple ceremonies to accommodate the number of students.
I want to see my granddaughter graduate.

Whatever math is being used to justify this is bad and rude. A hefty slice of grads (~80) won’t even have the option of bringing all of their immediately family members.
